These terms cover the tree work Top Quality Tree Services quotes and carries out, and the use of this website. They are written in plain English on purpose. If something here does not match what you were told, tell us and we will sort it out before work goes ahead.
Who we are
Top Quality Tree Services is a family-owned tree services business operating across Sydney, ABN 69 290 764 852.
What we do
We carry out physical tree work: tree removal, tree pruning and trimming, tree lopping and reduction, stump grinding, palm removal, hedge and shrub work, green-waste clearing, gutter cleaning, and urgent help with a fallen or dangerous tree.
We are not arborists or consulting arborists. We do not prepare, sign, provide or arrange formal arborist reports, we do not carry out tree-health assessments or treatments, and we do not decide whether council approval is required.
Quotes
Quotes are free.
A quote is based on what you tell us, on the photos you send, and on what we can see of the tree, the property and the work area. The more accurate the information, the more accurate the quote.
Our quote is a fixed price for the work described in it. If you ask for something outside that scope, or the job turns out to include work the quote does not cover, we will tell you what that work involves and quote it separately. We do not add charges to an agreed price without telling you first and getting your agreement.
If conditions at the property are materially different from what was described to us, we will stop and talk to you before continuing.
Booking and changes
When you accept a quote we will confirm the arrangements with you by phone, text or email.
Plans change and weather changes. If we need to reschedule for safety or weather reasons, we will contact you and arrange another time. If you need to change or cancel, please tell us as early as you can. We do not charge a cancellation fee. If a cancellation is on the same day, we consider the circumstances and any costs already incurred case by case.
Getting the work done safely
Some things need to come from you, because we cannot see them:
- safe access to the tree and the work area on the day;
- anything you know about that could matter — underground services, irrigation, septic systems, pipes, cables, retaining walls, pools, structures or recent building work;
- who to contact on the day, particularly at a strata, shared or commercial property; and
- keeping people, pets and vehicles clear of the work area while we are on site.
Where a property is shared or managed, please make sure whoever needs to authorise the work has done so before we arrive.
We are fully insured. We take care around what is on site, but we cannot be responsible for damage caused by something we were not told about and could not reasonably have seen.
Council approvals and protected trees
Some trees are protected, and rules vary by local council, the tree and the property. Checking the requirements that apply to your property is the property owner's responsibility.
We do not decide council requirements, obtain approvals, or guarantee an approval outcome. If approval is needed, it needs to be sorted before the work goes ahead.
Payment
A 50% deposit may be required for the agreed work. Where a deposit is required, we will confirm it in the quote or booking arrangements. The remaining balance is due on completion, unless we agree something different with you in writing.
We will confirm which payment methods we accept when we confirm your quote. If there is a problem with payment, talk to us — we would far rather work it out with you.
Trees, weather and regrowth
Trees are living things and the weather is not ours to control.
We do not warrant that a tree will not regrow, drop material, or be affected by future storms, wind, drought or disease. Where growth returns after pruning or lopping, that is normal, and further work is quoted separately.
If you are not happy with the work we have done, tell us as soon as you reasonably can so we can look at it and put it right where we can.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that they will be provided with due care and skill and will be fit for the purpose we agreed. If there is a major failure, you may be entitled to a remedy under that law.
Apart from those rights, our responsibility for a claim connected with the work is limited to re-doing the work, or paying the cost of having it re-done.
Using this website
Use the website for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to interfere with it, misuse the enquiry forms, or submit information that is not true.
The wording, images and layout on this website belong to Top Quality Tree Services, and may not be copied or republished without our permission.
Some pages link to websites we do not control, such as council pages and safety information. We provide those links because they are useful, not because we are responsible for what is on them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the current version is shown at the top, and the terms that apply to your job are the ones in place when your quote is accepted.
